Lady Shrine
It is said that in ancient times, when Ba Na – Nui Chua was still wild and sparsely inhabited, local people who lived by forest gathering often spoke of the saying: “First, the tiger of Ba Na; second, the ghost of Phuc Tru.” Therefore, villagers worshipped sacred deities and the goddesses known as “Ba” to pray for peace and safety in their lives. According to French doctor Albert Sallet, this “Lady” was described as a benevolent goddess, revered by women and known as “Holy Mother.”
When the French began exploring Ba Na – Nui Chua, they also respected local beliefs and built the Lady Shrine in 1931. Even during the wartime period, the shrine remained untouched, carefully preserved by the forest dwellers. Today, Lady Shrine has been restored and renovated, becoming a spiritual destination where pilgrims and visitors come to pray for blessings, good fortune, and peace.
